Davison Westmoreland

After receiving his MA in Government in 2008, Davison Westmoreland attended the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. Despite the shift toward business, Davison decided to keep a foot in politics. He founded Socratic News, a libertarian news site, in 2010. Davison said it was his time at Johns Hopkins that solidified his interest in libertarianism. At Johns Hopkins, he took a class on conservative thought and took two classes taught by scholars from the Cato Institute. Davison said, "My time at Johns Hopkins gave me an appreciation for other political perspectives. Hopefully that open-mindedness will be reflected on the website."
